Vasavi College of Music & Dance

Vasavi College of Music & Dance, established on June 18th, 1996, stands as a tribute to the enduring legacy of late Sri Pendekanti Venkata Subbaiah. Sponsored by the Vasavi Academy of Education, this institution was founded on his birth anniversary by the academy he so honorably patronized. Its mission: to cultivate and promote the rich heritage of Classical Music.

Today, the college passionately imparts training in a diverse range of musical disciplines, including the melodious Carnatic Vocal and its instrumental counterparts – Violin, Keyboard, Veena – alongside the captivating Hindustani Vocal, the rhythmic Tabla, and the versatile Harmonium & Keyboard. Furthermore, the college nurtures the graceful traditions of Kuchipudi and Bharathanatyam, offering a comprehensive education in the classical performing arts.
